Behind the Scenes: Two of a Kind

March 17, 2018

Pack your bags, it’s time to take a trip back to Pine Ridge, Pennsylvania as the first book in the Callaghan Family & Friends series hits the shelves!

It’s been a while since I released a book in the Callaghan world, but I haven’t forgotten about my promise to give some of my favorite secondary characters their own stories. The question was, who was going to tell me their story first?

You might be surprised by the answer. I know I was, especially when not one, but two people kept whispering in my ear. Two of my most hated characters, in fact. What was I supposed to do with them?

As it turns out, they had quite a few ideas. And let me tell you, villains make awesome characters. No one expects them to play by the rules or do the right thing. Sometimes, they’re not as bad as you think they are. And sometimes, they’re even worse.

Want to know more? Check out the synopsis and an excerpt HERE.

Two of a Kind is now available on Amazon in digital and paperback editions, as well as enrolled in Kindle Unlimited.

Pssst… if you’re not already signed up for my monthly newsletter, you might want to get on that. I’ll be sending out a free BONUS scene in the April 1st edition…

Abbie, you’re the best! Love the Callaghans and I’m so glad Kayla got her happy ending, even though I hated her in First and Only. Lol!

    Abbie Zanders

*laughing* Thanks Nicole! It’s perfectly okay that you hated her in the original series. I wasn’t too crazy about her either 🙂

LOVE These books, have the whole collection!

    Abbie Zanders

Thanks Robin! I love to hear that <3

Jean Tracy

Do the Covendale books tie into the Callaghan series also or are they a separate series?

    Abbie Zanders

Hi Jean! Excellent question. While the Covendale books are set in the same general area as Pine Ridge, they are a separate series. In general, Covendale is has a snarkier, funnier vibe. Occasionally, though, I will cross-reference series or characters in books just to see who is paying attention.

Angela Hughes

Love your books.

    Thank you so much, Angela!

Thanks Jan! The bonus wedding scene is all queued up and ready to go out on the 1st. There might be a few surprises on the big day… 🙂

Hi Abbie,
I happened upon your first book in the Callaghan series and I was hooked! I couldn’t stop till I read them all! Well I’m finished now and sitting here wondering what the heck happened lol. I loved each and every one of these books. I was pleasantly surprised with Two of a Kind. I have no idea what to read next, I feel like I need to take a break lol. Looking forward to what you have in store for us, hope it comes quickly. ?

    Abbie Zanders

Hi Tammi, and thank you! That is high praise indeed. I’m working on the next book in the Callaghan Family & Friends world now, and it’s one a lot of people have been asking for: Brian McCain’s. My hopes are to have it available this fall.

In the meantime, I’ve got 3 new releases coming this month (April), May, and June – all paranormals. If you prefer contemporary romance with military alpha heroes, you might like The Realist, Letting Go, and Celestial Desire (which you can get for free by signing up for my monthly newsletter).

    Thanks again, and happy reading!
