Finding More in Pine Ridge

“Maybe I’ll try my luck at darts,” you say, your voice carrying a hint of curiosity. “Could be interesting.”
Ian’s grin lights up the room. “Now we’re talking,” he says, straightening from the bar. “Just so you know, I’m unbeatable.”
“You’re also delusional,” Sean quips from the dartboard, his sharp blue eyes gleaming with amusement. He gestures toward the board, where three darts sit clustered neatly near the bullseye. “Care to prove me wrong?”
Ian rolls his eyes, grabbing a fresh pint as he walks toward Sean. “One lucky game doesn’t make you a champion.”
“Three lucky games in a row?” Sean counters, arching a brow.
Jake chuckles softly as he leans on the bar, his gaze warm and steady. “Don’t let them intimidate you,” he says to you, his tone reassuring. “It’s not about winning. It’s about jumping in and having fun.”
“Exactly,” Ian calls over his shoulder. “And if you’re feeling generous, you can let Sean win. He needs the confidence boost.”
Sean snorts, shaking his head as he adjusts his grip on a dart. “Ignore him. He’s just scared he’ll lose in front of a new audience.”
The brothers’ banter pulls you in, their teasing dynamic impossible to resist. There’s an easy rhythm to their interactions that feels natural, as though they’ve been doing this forever.
Michael, leaning casually against the wall, nods toward the dartboard. “It’s true what Jake said,” he says, his voice calm but inviting. “Pine Ridge isn’t about perfection. It’s about the experience.”
Shane, quiet as always, adds from his corner, “It’s about figuring out what feels right.”
You glance around the pub, the warmth of the lights and the hum of conversation settling around you like a comforting weight. Maybe Shane has a point. Maybe this moment—this place—is about more than just waiting out a storm.
“Ready to give it a shot?” Jake asks, his smile encouraging.
Ian tosses you a dart with a flourish. “Go ahead,” he says, his grin playful. “Let’s see if Pine Ridge has made you lucky already.”
The dart feels solid in your hand, the weight of it grounding. You step closer to the board, your hesitation melting into a spark of curiosity. Maybe luck—or something like it—brought you here after all.
Go raibh math agat - Thanks!
We're so glad you dropped by Jake's and met the guys. Pine Ridge might just be a stopover for you, but for the Callaghans, it's home. Each of them has a story, and winning their croie (heart) is going to be their biggest challenge yet. We hope you’ll stick around to see what comes next.
