Resolutions

Like most people, I view the New Year as a fresh-start. A do-over. A do-better. And one of my resolutions this year was to move away from the kitchen table and actually create a nice, cozy little work space for myself where I could write. My ideal space would have lots of polished hardwood and floor-to-ceiling shelves filled with inspiring books from my favorite authors. I’d have a nice desk, a comfy chair, and a place for all of my stuff. Everything would be neat and organized and extremely Zen-like.

Let’s be clear. That’s not going to happen. But I can dream, right? I figure, as long as I have someplace big enough to hold my laptop, mouse pad, and cup of coffee, I’m good.
