You Don’t Know Jack
… But you will after you read the newest addition to my popular Callaghan Brothers series 🙂 Forever Mine is the long-awaited 9th book in the series, the story of the patriarch of the clan, Jack Callaghan.
This was easily the most difficult book I’ve ever written. Not only is it an emotional roller coaster, many things about Jack’s story hit very close to home (as you’ll read in the personal notes at the end, if you read that kind of stuff).
Beyond that,it’s different than anything else I’ve done. Written entirely from one person’s point of view (Jack’s), the book alternates between the past and present. The story is a complex weave of what you already know from the first 8 books and what you didn’t. For example, you find out why Kathleen shot Jack. And why there are two Michaels in the family (Callaghan and Connelly). And how Jack got involved in special ops. And… well you get the idea.
In addition, you get reacquainted with the whole gang, and get to see the Callaghan boys as children (Hint: their adult personalities aren’t much different than their boyhood personalities).
If you are a fan of the Callaghan series, then you already know there are going to be some gut-wrenching moments. But rest assured, there’s plenty of love and laughter to go with those tears. So grab a box of tissues, find a quiet place, and enjoy Jack’s story…
